Issue 4: God's Faithfulness

Introduction by Lydia Dominguez
I apologize for taking so long in getting this out to you all. Things have been rather hectic around here!

In this issue I will write about God’s faithfulness. Sometimes it feels like God isn’t there but He’s promised He’ll never leave us and that’s just what He meant. God never breaks His promises.

        Today’s compendium subject is:

God’s Faithfulness

Brother Branham says:
54-0401  GOD'S.PREPARATION_  LOUISVILLE.KY  THURSDAY_  E-68           There's sick people setting right here now that'll go out of here tonight to be well. There's no doubt dying people setting right here tonight, will go out of here with life to live again. Praise God. Why? The same Holy Spirit that led Simeon is leads--led you here tonight. Don't be a scared to drink. Walk right up freely with a lot of boldness. We come boldly to the throne of God, for God is faithful Who has promised us. Don't be scared. Reach up and get it; it's yours. He's led you right up to the Fountain. Now, if you're thirsty, drink. Just drink abundance; just drink till you can't drink no more. Drink till you get so drunk on the salvation of God, you'll not listen to the critics, not listen to your feelings, any symptoms. You'll look to Calvary and say, "God, I want to hear the roars of Calvary. That's all I hear." Amen. There you are.

60-1211E  THE.LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE_  JEFFERSONVILLE.IN  ROJC 493-550  SUNDAY_  28           Just--just value that, brother. I know what you're doing there at the Interstate, I done the same thing, worked a many hard day, but, brother... to raise them children. But remember, God is faithful, He rewards. Yes, indeed! "I will repay."
God bless you, Patty. Honey, I--I wouldn't know you if I seen you, I guess, but don't never leave that straight path, honey. Never let the Devil put any--anything in you, like a nice golden apple, because it'll be a lemon, see. Drop the thing and leave it like that. Keep your eyes right on Christ, right on the Cross. And keep moving on, for the hour is at hand. See?

51-1003  BELIEVEST.THOU.THIS_  NEW.YORK.NY  WEDNESDAY_  E-26           And let's see back in the beginning when God was fixing to bring forth His Son, why, the first thing he appeared to was--to vindicate of His coming was Zacharias an old priest, fine character, him and his wife. And they'd been married for many years, growing old in age. They'd prayed earnestly for children. God seemed to not answer their prayer, but they're--they were serving the Lord, a devout life. Now, there's where many people make an error. They pray for things, and because God don't give it to them in a few minutes, they think they're not going to get it. See? If you ask for anything, don't waver. Believe you receive it; you shall have it. Live right; do right; and believe you're going to get it; and God’s faithful Who has promised. Amen. There you are.

56-0902  THE.HANDWRITING.ON.THE.WALL_  JEFFERSONVILLE.IN  SUNDAY_  E-21           Now, one day a broker came by, and he saw a bunch of slaves working on a certain plantation, a hundred or more slaves. And they were sad, because they were away from home. Many times they'd whip them because they wouldn't work. They thought they'd never go home again, babies they'd never see, papa and mama they'd never see, their relation they'd never see. And they were very downcast as it's so easily to become, especially when you're oppressed. That's what the devil likes to work on you and oppress you. You know, that's a trick of the devil to oppress. But when the Christian knows his legal rights (Amen.), when you can quote God's Word, "I'll never leave thee nor forsake thee," that takes all the oppression away. And the clouds begin to clear back. But if you just know that God has promised and God’s faithful, He can keep His promise or He'd never promised it.

The Bible says:
Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Psalm 105:8
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Psalm 89:34
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Numbers
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Isaiah 54:10-15
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
11  O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12  And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
13  And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14  In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
15  Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Quick Facts!
There was ten thousands times ten thousands of Angels marching with the Queen of Sheba's band as it went on. There wasn't an arrow could fly by night, or the terror by night, or the arrow by day that could ever touch her. She was bound to find Jehovah. She was seeking for Him with a true heart.

Book Review

Have you read any books that are worth reading and would like to recommend them? Well, this section is for that purpose! Here is what we already have:

Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris
When I was 16 I would look at a book like this, sigh and say, "This looks like a boring book. I don't like reading books like this." I wish I had read this book then! It's so good!

Do Hard Things is a book that I highly recommend! It's a book to encourage teenagers to rise above this world's low expectations of us. It's a book that is full of good insight on doing hard things that will help you plan for the future. There's stories of rebelutionaries who are doing and have done hard things and are happy they are and have. I like this book because it's as if you are really talking to the authors and listening to them speak because they use wording that is easy to understand. This book is good for every teenager to read! It's so full of good, wholesome ideas! It also talks about the decay of this world's teens and of the expectations this world has of them. According to the world, teenagers are supposed to goof off and party like crazy but, really, they should be preparing for their future and working to make this world a better place to grow in.

Do Hard Things is an extremely good book and I hope every teenager who reads this post reads it! It will change your whole outlook on life and help you feel like you can do something worthwhile!

If you have any other books that you think are wonderful, please share them with us!

If Jesus Walked In Your Door Today

If Jesus walked in your door today,
Would you be doing wrong or good?
Would you be watching TV
When you could be listening to a tape?

If Jesus walked in your door today,
Would you be doing wrong or good?
Would you be reading a bad book
Or would you be studying the bible or a message book?

If Jesus walked in your door today,
Would you be doing wrong or good?
Would you be gossiping on the phone
Or would you be praying?

If Jesus walked in your door today,
Would you be doing wrong or good?
Would you be playing video games
Or would you be on cub corner?

If Jesus walked in your door today
It could happen any day.
If I were you, I'd watch what you do
For Jesus is coming soon to take his Bride away.

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”
Hebrews 10:22-24
