Encouragement for the Journey by Angela Dawn

For all of you who have just left camp, or who may not have.
Here is a poem I dedicate to you all. I hope it is a blessing and
encouragement to you. God bless you and keep pressing on.

Friends near and far,
Here and there, and wherever you are.
I wish to encourage you to continue the fight,
To press through the battles in this trying time.

Don't give up now, the Promise Land is close.
And though the world seems dark and cold,
Remember God gives us the liberty to be bold.
Hold your head up, don't give up now.

And though after blessed isolation at camp,
This world seems harder to stand against.
Don't believe Satan's lie, you have been given strength.
God has equipped you for this fight.
For each trial that you'll face.
So stand on YOUR promises,
That God has given you.
He will help you in the fight
And you'll overcome by His grace.

If the world laughs at you,
And thinks You've lost your mind.
Just smile at them and say,
"I have. And replaced it with Christ's."
This battles is not ours.
Why should we fight it alone?
We are the saints of God.
His chosen ones!

Oh, stay in Christ!
Encourage yourself in the Word.
He has given us the instructions,
And the armor.
We know the final ending.
We have been shown it from the beggininng

Satan has no power, but what God allows.
He is a fireless dragon,
And a mooing cow.
He has no power of his own.
For he is a toothless lion roaring his pathetic meow.

So stand strong.
God hasn't left you alone.
Though without the camp grounds we are,
God is still by our sides.
He has an angel with us,
In our dark and lonely nights.
Don't listen to Satan!
Our trials don't prove we left camp empty.
They show that WE CAN BE GOD'S VICTORY!

Oh, stand strong brother, sister
This race is almost through.
Hold on to Christ and He will be with You.
